With "Wars Waged By Man," my goal was to create a song that functions more as a witness than a spectacle. Drawing from the moral gravity and musical spirit of the early 1940s, the lyrics are rooted in a pre-war folk and blues tradition where the story is allowed to carry its own emotional weight without modern embellishment. This project isn't about a specific historical event; it's a reflection on how wars have changed names, uniforms, and geography, while the underlying reasons and human consequences remain painfully familiar. By utilizing sparse visuals and a timeless perspective, I wanted to pose a quiet, unsettling question about the enduring cycle of conflict and the true cost born by the individual. For me, this song and its visual video accompaniment are meant to stand as a reminder that some stories are not meant for entertainment alone, but to endure as a matter of conscience.
